Things left in books collection Needlework bookmarks, Undated.

The bookmarks are made of perforated cardboard, often attached to a length of ribbon. The cardboard has been used as a base for needlepoint or embroidery, and one includes bead work. All but one include a text, with one text in Hebrew. The perforated cardboard is blank, which suggests that the bookmarks date from the middle of the 19th century.
